The market is now flooded with so many different types of fairy floss machines and popcorn machines and if you aren't familiar with this sort of equipment, how do you know if you are buying a machine that is right for you?
I have tried many different machines here and what I can tell you is what I discovered when using them.
There are a few brands on the market now and this type of machine is really just a toy, a bit of fun for you and the kids to have. The brands I tried all only made very tiny sticks of floss, but the kids would enjoy it (even the big ones) and I am sure you would realise when purchasing one that it is just for fun.
The majority of these machines all appear to made in China and I found that they all seemed quite similar. Basically I felt that it is possibly the same machine copied over and over again with different exteriors. The floss heads on these machines are quite small so you make a floss then you need to fill it again. They spin well and spin the floss nice and softly but spare parts could be a problem. I get many phone calls from owners asking us for spare parts to these machines - but you need to go back to China (in most cases) for the parts. We do not sell spare parts for floss machines.
I also found with this type of machine the electrtical wiring was too exposed for my liking, so I hope the manufacturers can make a change or two there.
This machine would possibly be good if you only wanted to use it a couple of times a year (I wouldn't think it could handle hours of constant spinning on a regular basis).
There are several manufacturers of the big Commercial Floss machine, and some right here in Australia. There are two brands that I like, both floss differently, but are great machines.
Gold Medal produce some great floss machines. In fact they manufacture more than 20 different floss machines. They are an Amercian Company and the machines start at $2,300 AUD and up they go. The breeze floss machine is a good entry machine to use and it is one that I like. It flosses nice and soft fairy floss, not a huge output like some you can get, but very good all the same.
The second machine I like is the Smart Floss Machine which is made right here in Melbourne, Australia. This is also a good machine, flosses nicley and is a good high output commercial machine (the machine which we use for hires), and its great to know if something goes wrong you haven't got far to go to get the parts you need to fix it. The Smart Machine is priced at $2,700.
It is important to note that we do not sell machines here at Flossy's and if you wish to purchase one then google a phrase like "Buy fairy floss machine". You will be surprised how many you can find.
Flossy's Fairy Floss gets no fees or payment or endorsements from companies mentioned on this page. I have published this page as a reference only and I do not recommend the reader to purchase these machines I am only offerring my opinion.
