A: All Schools; Primary, Secondary, Universities, Private and Pre-Schools qualifiy for wholesale shopping, but you will need to create an account to be able to shop online in the wholesale section.
If you are a Registered Businesses in the Amusement Rides industry or Food Catering Industry you are also eligible to apply to become a wholesale customer.
To become a wholesale customer you will also need to send us an email informing us of your request. The email will go directly to our office and we will endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours after applying.
Q: What is the difference between "fairy floss base" and "fairy floss sugar"?
Fairy floss sugar is the final product ready to use, just pour into the head of your machine.
Fairy floss base is the colour/flavour which you mix into normal white sugar to make up the sugar mix.
Q: Are the fairy floss bases easy to use?
Flossy's fairy floss bases are made for us to a specific formula. One level tablespoon of base to 2 kg of normal white sugar and mix well. It is that simple.
Q: Are the machines for hire easy to operate?
A: We explain how the machines operate when you pick them up and we give you written instructions to take with you.
Q: If I am hiring a machine what form of security do I need for the hire?
A: A current Victorian Driver's License needs to be produced, as well as a current Credit Card (American Express, MasterCard or Visa). A photocopy is taken of both these cards and kept with your hire invoice. On return of the equipment the photocopied cards will be shredded or handed back to you if you request. If these cards are not produced when you collect the equipment the hire will be cancelled, even if you have already paid for the hire.
Q: What happens if I don't bring back all accessories?
A: If accessories fail to return with the hire equipment then we will debit your credit card the replacement cost of the item. If you return the item within 7 days we will refund your credit card.
Q:. If I am hiring on behalf of a School do I need to present my driver's licence and credit card for security.
A: Not if an official purchase order from the school is faxed or handed to us on the day or prior to the hire.
Q: What are your Payment Terms?
A: Payment is made on collection of goods or hire.

Cash Direct Deposit into our Account Eftpos Credit Cards: Amercian Express is our favoured card and there are no fees attached! MasterCard Visa Cheque (but we do not accept personal cheques).
Q: Does Flossy's packaging comply with the new food codes that are in place?
A: Yes, we have the required "Nutritional Information Panel", Ingredients, Manufacturer's Details, How to Store Information, Best Before Date and Net Weight of the contents as required by Law.
Q: Can we return unsold product?
A: No. If you have any unsold product try having a fun food day at your school the following week and sell off all the remaining food you have.
Q: Do I need a temporary food permit to sell food from equipment we hire from you?
A: Yes, in today's world we need temporary food permits to sell food. Fairy floss is a low risk food, as are popcorn and snow cones so you don't need thermometers etc. Our popcorn comes sealed in bags made fresh in our Registered Kitchen here at Flossy's Fairy Floss, just like our bags of fairy floss. All ingredients are labelled on our large 500 gram bags for the popcorn warmer so that you also know what your are getting.
Q: How do I get a Temporary Food Permit?
A: You have to contact whichever Council/Shire is in charge of the area where the event is going to be held. You ring the Environmental Health Unit/Office and talk to them and they will send you out the forms and give you any help you may need.
Q: What date do you put on the bags of fairy floss and popcorn?
A: We place 8 weeks as a best before date on our bags of fairy floss and 4 weeks as a best before date on our bags of popcorn.
